Lawyers are expensive; I don't like lawyers, because I don't know what they cost, and anyway, they also earn far too much for what they provide.
律师费用很贵：我不喜欢律师，因为我不知道这需要花多少钱，而且他们的工作不值得这么多钱。
These are judgments and prejudices that lawyers are often confronted with – at least if surveys are to be believed.

Let’s put it differently: Why do you need a lawyer? When do you go to a lawyer?

When you have problems that you cannot solve alone. You want help; you want a person to contact who can quickly and effectively help to solve your legal problem. But what about the cost? Should that service not cost something? You go to the doctor – do you assume that the doctor works for free? Of course not. As a private patient, you see what the service costs on the bill; for a patient with statutory health insurance the doctor bills the insurer directly.
当你遇到自己无法解决的问题时，你就需要帮助：你需要一个能够迅速有效的帮你解决法律问题的律师。但是费用是多少呢？这种服务难道不需要付费吗？你去看医生，医生会不收费么吗？当然不会。作为一个病人，你可以从账单上看到服务费用；如果一个病人有医疗保险，保险公司会付钱给医生。
It works in a similar way for us. If you have legal expenses insurance, and if the insurer agrees to cover the expenses, we bill your insurer directly, without additional costs for you. If you do not have legal expenses insurance, or if your legal problem is not covered by your policy, you will receive a bill directly form us – unless the other side is found to be liable for the costs.
律师费用也一样。如果客户有诉讼保险，而且保险公司同意承担费用，我们不会向客户收取费用，而会把账单直接寄给保险公司。如果客户没有诉讼保险，或者客户的法律问题超出了保险范围，账单会直接寄给客户（除非保险公司有义务负担这些费用）。
Are the costs too high? This probably initially depends on how you see your problem, and on what you're prepared to invest to find a solution.

We discuss costs with you at the start of the process and state clearly what costs you risk incurring. And: We are not dogmatic; you can discuss anything with us, including costs. We may not and will not, however, work for free. We are confident that we have mastered our areas of law, and we are confident that we will always try to help you as well as possible. And we are convinced that this service has its price – and that it is worth that price.

In this respect: The lawyer's fees are based on the German Lawyer's Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz, RVG). The RVG divides the lawyer's activities into various phases of a case; the more sections the lawyer processes, the higher the fees will be. And: In principle, the higher the sum of money involved, the higher the costs will be – although this does not increase linearly in relation to the disputed sum, but rather takes the form of a "flattening curve".
在这方面:律师的费用，是基于德国律师费用法的规定来计算的Rechtsanwaltsvergutungsgesetz,RVG)。RVG把一个项目律师的参与度分成不同的程度，律师参与的程度越高，费用就越高。而且原则上,项目所涉及的资金金额越高,律师费用成本将越高——这与项目涉及到的资金总数并不是线性增长的关系,而是“平曲线”的关系。
In the case of extrajudicial action, pure consultancy, or the drafting of a contract or similar activities, we agree either an hourly rate or a flat fee. It is, however, also possible to bill such services based on the RVG.
对于庭外调解，咨询，起草合同或类似的事件，可以按小时收取费用或者收取固定费用。但也可能根据RVG来对这些服务收费。
We will be happy to discuss this in more detail. A case should not collapse on the issue of costs.
